This year’s AGM will be held on Tuesday 31 March 2025 at Pembroke Gardens Bowling Club, Pembroke Road, PO1 2NR. Please see full notice details below. Thank you all for your continued support over the last year and we look forward to seeing everyone and catching up on community news and activities.
Of course, our AGM also provides a unique opportunity to hear a fascinating talk by this year’s speaker and we’ve chosen a local figure who is particularly relevant to 2026, as Portsmouth celebrates 100 years as a city. We are delighted to welcome our very own John ‘J J’ Marshallsay who is passionate about the city’s history. Some of you will already be familiar with his work due to the treasure trove of memories, stories and events he shares via his Facebook page ‘Memories of Bygone Portsmouth’. ‘J J’ will undoubtedly enlighten us with his own unique perspective on Old Portsmouth’s past, that promises to be a fascinating evening, connecting us all back to points in our history.
The Bowling Club will be open from 7pm so please come along and mingle before AGM business commences. Attendees are welcome to a complimentary drink (house wine, beer or soft drink) and nibbles. Please be aware — the venue has a maximum capacity of 60 owing to government fire regulations; therefore, attendance is strictly on a first come first served basis by fully paid-up FOOPA members.
